photography. street. travel. documentary.
My name is Florian Ickelsheimer and I have fun with photography. Hence, I started PHOTOGRAPHTREK, a side venture of my personal blog called lauftrek, where I am writing mostly about my outdoor sport activities. PHOTOGRAPHTREK is not the portfolio of a professional, but rather an essay, a collection of shots taken on travels or dedicated street or documentary photo walks. Enjoy.

mürren in winter.
Mürren is a small mountain village in the Swiss Alps, facing the famous peaks of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. After I have been visiting (almost living) in this place for years, I took the chance of a longer break to shoot some documentary photographs of the village.

barcelona in spring.
I visited Barcelona in February 2020, which was one of my last trips before I had a long travelling break due to the Covid pandemic. On a weekend, I shot mainly street photos for which Barcelona is just amazing. Celebrations, markets, people, architecture - there is so much to explore and to document.

buenos aires.
Visiting Buenos Aires was mainly a consequence of finding a good first stop before travelling further to Patagonia. However, spending almost a week in this city, exploring the neighbourhoods of San Telmo, Palermo, La Boca was an incredible experience and I shot some of my best street photos.

patagonia.
The reason to go to Patagonia was not at all photography related. I just wanted to see the impressive mountain range of El Chaltén and the huge national park of Torres del Paine. Having a capable camera with me, was still one of the best decisions of my photography life. From my personal point of view, some of the images are the best landscape photographs I have ever shot.
